The six brushes you need
- A flat or dense round foundation brush for an even base
- A large, soft powder brush for a light dusting
- An angled blush brush for cheeks and soft contour
- A round blending brush for diffusing shadow across the lid
- A small flat shader for deeper colour at the outer corner
- An angled brow brush with a spoolie
Keep them clean
Dirty brushes are an often-overlooked cause of breakouts. Wash foundation brushes weekly and powder brushes every two weeks with a gentle shampoo, then lay them flat to air-dry.
Good-quality brushes give a smoother finish and help you use less product.
